I sometimes watch videos on YouTube. More so these last few days because I’ve had problems with my Kindle software and can’t read my books, but that’s neither here nor there. Has anyone else found that after you’ve watched a video once, when you watch it again, a little advert pops up at the beginning?
One of these is for the charity Islamic Relief, so it’ll show an orphan or malnourished child, and then it says: “This Ramadan, the UK-government is doubling your donations”. Ok I have a question. Have you ever seen an advert for a Christian charity – Christian Aid or Compassion or whatever it might be, that says: “This Christmas-time, the UK-government is doubling your donations!”? I certainly don’t recall one. If they’re going to do that, they should do a Jewish charity at Passover, a Christian charity at Christmas, a Hindu or Sikh charity on their special days …
Better still, don’t do it at all. Treat everybody fairly. Now wouldn’t that be a good way to save some money to put back in our economy?
One more thing: I read this article the other day. Politicians, if you’re reading this, you might want to click the link to learn about the religion you’re funding.
