Corn Maze: August Poetry Challenge

Linda’s weekly August challenge is to write a poem of exactly 31 words, and from her selection this week, I chose corn maze.

* * *

A corn maze is a structure made from corn;
You can see it from the road:
You can’t go inside;
It doesn’t excite;
Just sits on its own,
Pointless and forlorn.

    • Well, you needn’t feel too sad for it. My mum read the poem and corrected me. Apparently you can pay to go around it, when it’s open, so it’s not quite as pointless and forlorn as I thought!
