What Timing

You know how I’ve written about Wess Stafford this last week, and mentioned more than once his book “Too Small to Ignore”?  Well, Jill over at Compassion Family is giving a copy away.  I know that like me, Jill really appreciates comments from readers, so why don’t you visit her blog and try to win yourself a book?

A Mothers’ Day Giveaway

It might throw you a bit if you’re reading this in another country.  I know you’ve got to wait till May, but this Sunday is Mothers’ Day here in the UK, so to anyone who looks after children, to anyone with sons or daughters, nieces or nephews, Godsons or Goddaughters, to foster carers and adoptive families, and of course to child-sponsors, I want to say thank you.  Anything you do to show a child you love them and to be a positive influence in their life doesn’t go unnoticed by God.

As a thank-you for the part you play in the lives of children, I want to do something I’ve never done on this blog before:  A giveaway!  Wess Stafford (president of Compassion) has written a book called “Just a Minute”, which shows that one moment in the life of a child can positively or negatively change them forever.  I’ve read Wess’s first book, “Too Small to Ignore” – an emotional read, but very well-written.  If you’d like to win a copy of this – his second book, just leave a comment telling me about a child who’s special in your life, or perhaps a moment from your childhood that changed you forever.  I’ll keep it going till midnight on Sunday 10 March, so please tell your friends so they can enter too.  Then I’ll pick one at random and announce a winner.  Happy commenting!
